R have trouble raising 527 money...

I am posting this article not because of the possible violations of the law, but because it curious that Republican donors are not giving to 527s. I wonder why this would be? Could they just be tapped out or does it speak more to lack of intensity? The Democrats are unified and motivated this year. I think the Republicans maybe a little demoralized at the moment. Only time will tell....
